Job Description:
Position Description: Controller supervises all accounting processes for this two division privately held manufacturing company, reporting to the President. Produces detailed, timely manufacturing cost accounting, and quality metrics supporting continuous improvement. Controller will be introduced into and become knowledgeable of all the aspects of the business operation and cycle, which consists of the design, manufacture, and marketing of two distinct product groups.
The Controller will supervise all accounting employees, integrated order processing, internal controls, General Ledger account management, Accts Payable, and Accts Receivable with customer credit authorizations. Provides metrics for marketing departments, and will become deeply involved in product pricing.
Controller will have input into formulating company goals, and is responsible for financial projections with detailed supporting schedules. Controller interfaces with and supports all company departments and provides visual reports as well as conventional accounting reports.
Core Competency: Experience in manufacturing cost and financial accounting. Ability to communicate and collaborate with all members of the organizational management team. Background in lean continuous improvement. Experience with ERP manufacturing systems, with ability to interface with Software Support Vendors and define required custom report requirements.
Potential for advancement into positions of increased responsibility within the organization.
Requirements: The candidate should be a “hands-on” professional with the willingness to learn new professional skills in an adaptable environment. BA Accounting and demonstrated achievement progression in directly related areas of responsibility. CMA/CPA preferred.
