How Shivvers
System Work

Shivvers Systems are integrated into grain bins to offer a comprehensive solution for drying, handling, and storing grain, transforming the entire bin into a drying system.  Available in 2 main system types, both the Circu-Lator and Dri-Flo Systems utilize the highly efficient Counter-Flow Drying Process.

This system includes a grain spreader, core machine, computerized Command Center control unit, raised drying floor, heater, and a series of transfer augers to transport dry grain from the drying bin to storage bin(s).

Wet grain is loaded through the top of the drying bin, falling through a Shivvers Spreader to evenly distribute grain throughout the bin.
The operator then sets desired drying specifications on the Shivvers Command Center
Next, the Command Center activates the Shivvers heater, warming air in the plenum created by the raised grain floor. The Command Center maintains constant communication with your heater throughout the drying process, automatically adjusting heater settings to match the pre-set drying specifications.
Heated drying air raises up through the perforated grain floor, creating a primary drying zone of 3 feet deep. This heated air continues to rise up through grain above the primary drying zone, creating a secondary drying zone of 3-8 feet.
As grain in the primary drying zone reaches target transfer moisture conditions, the Command Center automatically engages the continuous-flow grain removal process. tapered sweep augers draw the even layer of dry grain off the drying bin floor, unloading grain to the Shivvers Transfer Auger  system.

Dri-Flo Shivvers System

With Dri-Flo systems, grain is unloaded horizontally through a transfer auger underneath the drying floor. This horizontal unload auger can then be connected to existing dry transfer systems including air systems, grain legs, and other transfer systems.

Circu-lator Shivvers Systems

With Circu-Lator systems grain is transported up through the center vertical auger. Dry grain can then be deposited into the Shivvers horizontal Transfer Auger system and transported to storage bins or recirculated within the drying bin. This option to recirculate provides added flexibility to transform your drying bin back into a storage bin as you reach the end of harvest.

Our Systems
