Cycle Counter/Cleaning Attendant

Job Description:
**This combined position will be roughly 70-80% Cycle Counter and 20-30% Cleaning Attendant **
Job Summary:
- Performs cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective or reported inventory.
- Completes miscellaneous activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper paperwork processing.
- Performs cleaning duties to keep buildings in clean and orderly condition.
Essential Functions – Cycle Counter:
- Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials on a daily basis.
- Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Performs various material handling duties, which may include driving a forklift, hand truck, etc., to ensure that all items are properly located and identified.
- Utilizes company software to review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity.
- Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine the quantity on hand.
- Locates and pulls appropriate parts as needed.
- Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to the supervisor.
- Communicates effectively with supervisors regarding any issues.
- Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
Essential Functions – Cleaning Attendant:
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms and break room areas.
- Gather and empty trash as needed.
- Clean building floors by sweeping and mopping.
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaning supplies.
- Observe and report items needing repair and/or potential hazards to the supervisor or safet personnel as appropriate.
- Requisitions supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Strong time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues as needed to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and use simple math as needed.
- Basic computer operating skills.
- Previous experience working with distribution software or similar computer applications, or ability to obtain basic knowledge of company software programs.
- Ability to operate and drive powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, hand trucks, etc. Must be able to obtain forklift driving certification.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize job tasks and requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive operations.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs frequently; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, walking, reaching with hands, grasping, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as needed such as eye/face shields and clothing protection. Steel-toed shoes are required.
Work Environment:
- Incumbent will work both in an office setting as well as a manufacturing shop environment with various noise levels and temperatures ranging from hot to cold depending on seasons.
