Job Description:

Available Positions:

Day Shift: (5:00am-3:30pm)

  • 4-day work week in production areas
  • Sign-on Bonus $2,000
  • Incentive Pay program - starting at day 1 

Job Function:

  • Setup and operate Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine centers and lathes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling, and installing products.
  • Setup and operation of CNC machines.
  • Inspects machined parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and micrometers.
  • Trims, files, grinds, and smooths surfaces using hand tools and power tools.
  • Performs routine or repetitive operations in a manner which will consistently meet quality requirements and production standards.
  • Communicates effectively with supervisors regarding any product/machine issues.
  • Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • May assist in other areas of the factory as workload demands change.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Previous experience with CNC machining preferred (Lathes and Mills).
  • Prior knowledge and experience in reading and understanding blueprints, manuals, and working with computers.
  • Previous experience working in a team based environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Basic computer operating skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs frequently; occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting/turning, reaching, walking, reaching with hands, grasping, pushing and pulling.
  • Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as needed such as eye/face shields and clothing protection. Steel-toed shoes are required.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing shop environment with various noise levels and temperatures ranging from hot to cold depending on seasons.
