Available Positions:
Day Shift: (5:00am-3:30pm)
- 4-day work week in production areas
- Sign-on Bonus $2,000
- Incentive Pay program - starting at day 1
Job Function:
- Setup and operate Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine centers and lathes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling, and installing products.
- Setup and operation of CNC machines.
- Inspects machined parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and micrometers.
- Trims, files, grinds, and smooths surfaces using hand tools and power tools.
- Performs routine or repetitive operations in a manner which will consistently meet quality requirements and production standards.
- Communicates effectively with supervisors regarding any product/machine issues.
- Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
- May assist in other areas of the factory as workload demands change.
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience with CNC machining preferred (Lathes and Mills).
- Prior knowledge and experience in reading and understanding blueprints, manuals, and working with computers.
- Previous experience working in a team based environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Basic computer operating skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive operations.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs frequently; occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting/turning, reaching, walking, reaching with hands, grasping, pushing and pulling.
- Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as needed such as eye/face shields and clothing protection. Steel-toed shoes are required.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing shop environment with various noise levels and temperatures ranging from hot to cold depending on seasons.
