GRAIN HOG SPREADER
The Grain Hog is a high capacity grain spreader that distributes grain as it is added to the bin, giving a more even air flow throughout your drying bin. The Grain Hog is a large body spreader with your choice of large or small pans, depending on your need, and is fully adjustable from the center fill hole using an extension wrench. Standard on all Shivvers Performance Systems. Fill capacity is 3200 to 5000 BPH.

CONTROLLED FLOW SPREADER
Our Controlled Flow Grain Spreader features a dual motor drive system with variable speeds that drives the spreader pan, while another motor drives the diverter valve. The diverter valve rotates slowly as it fills the pan and meters the right amount of grain to evenly fill all sides of the bin.
For any low spot that might develop during drying, a switch in the spreader control box allows you to stop the rotating diverter. The Controlled Flow spreader would then fill the low area in just a few minutes. Your drying bin remains level without you ever touching a scoop! Designed to fill large diameter bins up to 6000 BPH.
The LEVEL-DRY GRAIN SPREADER
Increased Capacity
For optimum capacity and performance, the Shivvers Level-Dry Grain Spreader is unmatched. Grain transferred from a wet holding bin funnels into a hopper and is then fed into the leveling auger of the Level-Dry. The leveling auger’s unique design smoothly distributes the wet grain across the top of the drying zone. With each pass, coning is eliminated and low spots are filled, leaving a smooth level surface. This keeps static pressure uniform throughout the tank to facilitate even drying. By laying the grain instead of throwing each kernel from a grain spreader at the top of the bin, any packing effect is minimized, allowing air to more evenly flow through the grain.
Greater Precision
The Shivvers Level-Dry Grain Spreader creates a level grain bed to the exact depth you choose by simply flipping a switch. Consistent depths allow heated air to push through the grain faster. Under the correct conditions, properly balanced grain levels spread by a Level-Dry will help your Shivvers Performance System to dry up to 168,000 bushels of grain per week.
More Flexibility
Designed to fit any Shivvers Performance System as well as the DRI-FLO 500 & 1000 and CIRCU-LATOR I & II Legacy Series machines, the Level-Dry is a capacity boosting spreader, which can be added to other in-bin, continuous-flow drying systems. No matter your current system, you control the drying speed by your choice of drying tank size, depth at which you maintain the grain bed, and the temperature of your fans and heaters. The Shivvers Level-Dry fits bins from 21’ to 48’ in diameter. When operated in the “fixed” depth mode, it can substantially increase the capacity of any counter-flow grain dryer on the market.
Less packing of the grain results in more air flow and reduction of static pressure. Low depth allows substantial increase in air flow volume and substantial increase in drying rate and capacity.
No Babysitting
When used with a Shivvers COMPUDRY™ Command Center, the Level Dry Spreader's optimal depth setting can be established by monitoring the computerized control. The result is around-the-clock drying set to your exact grain depth, as well as precise moisture and temperature control and a printed record of your entire drying operation.
Energy Efficiency
Studies at Michigan State, Iowa State, and Purdue universities have proven that continuous counter-flow drying is a more cost-effective and energy-efficient method of drying grain than high-temperature cross-flow drying. A key to this increased efficiency is a level drying bed maintained at the proper depth. By limiting the depth from 30”-36”, the static pressure is so low that the airflow through the bin is extremely high. At the same time, a 30”-36” grain depth ensures saturation of the heated drying air as it is exhausted out the top of the bin. Only continuous counter-flow drying systems like Shivvers Performance Systems and Legacy Series machines let you utilize every BTU of heated drying air.
